July is the highlight of the year at Camp JOY. Beginning the Monday following the 4th of July, the summer camp season kicks off the first week with 7- to 9-year-olds flooding through the gates. They will soon be followed by 10-, 11-, and 12-year-olds the week following, and finally the teenagers will get their chance during the final week of summer camp.

There is always something to do at Camp JOY, and campers engage in a variety of activities from sports and singing to one-on-one time with the counselors in the simple, yet homely cabins. The hearty, home-style meals at Camp JOY are mostly made from scratch by seasoned, expert chefs. No one ever leaves the dining hall hungry, especially after the all-time favorite meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, beans, and salad!

  • Basketball, softball, volleyball, tetherball
  • Swimming
  • Movies
  • Dish washing
  • Cabin inspections
  • Solid & practical Bible teaching
  • Bible quizzes
  • Outdoor games
  • Campfire testimony service
  • and much more!

Many memories and friends are made at Camp JOY, and campers often return year after year to once again participate in the games, chores, activities, and evening chapel services they have come to love. Camp JOY appreciates hearing from campers, and invites you to share your comments and photos of your memories.
