Rules of Camp JOY

The following guidelines are required of all campers and visitors. The Camp Director reserves the right to dismiss any person, whether parent, camper, counselor, or visitor, who refuses to comply with these standards.

  • All persons must show respect for God and our country
  • No foul language will be tolerated
  • No alcoholic beverages or tobacco products are allowed on the grounds
  • Modest clothing must be worn at all times

In addition to the points listed above, all campers must adhere to these rules:

  • No MP3 players, iPods, or cell phones
  • No shirts that promote worldly advertising or themes
  • Young ladies must wear cullots or loose-fitting jeans for recreational activities, and skirts or dresses to the evening chapel services; all clothing must be mid-knee or longer; no mini-skirts or bikinis
  • Young men may not wear necklaces or earrings, and shorts may be worn only during the swimming period
  • No food or drinks may be brought on the grounds unless approved by the Director

Camp JOY belongs to God, and it is the desire of the Director and Staff to honor and glorify him in all that is done. Please help by ensuring that none of the above points are violated when packing your suitcases.
